Associates Group of Companies is Climbing for a Cause
Associates Group of Companies, a Denver-based commercial insurance brokerage and financial services firm, has the upward mobility of "Climbing for a Cause," an upcoming two day ascent of Mt. Rainier in Washington State. The climb will raise much needed funds for Family Tree, a Denver-area non-profit that helps families and youth in the metro area overcome child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness.
With headquarters in the Denver Tech Center, AGC specializes in group health insurance, employee benefits, commercial property and casualty insurance, workers' compensation, corporate retirement planning. The company also offers corporate services encompassing business succession planning, business valuations, and financial services for executives and business owners.
Serving some 1,500 companies region wide, AGC clients have anywhere from 5 to 1,000 employees. Founded in 1998 as a financial service company, AGC partners Shawn Tracy and Mark Sheedy have expanded their organization to become one of the premier providers of commercial property and casualty, workers compensation and employee benefits in the region. Citing an aggressive marketing plan and cutting edge value proposition, Tracy and Sheedy say 90 percent of AGC's phenomenal growth occurred during the past four years. Now they want to "give back" to their non-profit client, Family Tree, and make a difference in their community.
Since 1976, Family Tree has provided a broad range of services and shelter to families and youth of metro Denver to overcome child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Each year, Family Tree provides services to more than 31,000 people, including over 25,000 nights of shelter to families and individuals who might otherwise be homeless. And AGC hopes to raise $50,000 in donations through the August 22-23 climb up notorious Mt. Rainier. Please see the related press release for details about the climb.
